NORTH SHORE

Jetties Beach

Easy bike ride from town and shuttle service is available, Great family beach with changing rooms, playground, public tennis courts, volleyball nets, showers,, and boardwalk to the water. Windsurfing , sailboat, and kayak lessons and rentals available. Swimming lessons for children ages 6 and up offered by the Park and Recreation Commission, Memorial Day through Labor Day 9:30- noon.

Brant Point

Easy walk or bike ride. No lifeguard. Stong current – experienced swimmers only. Scenic beach with Prant Point Lighthouse, a pleasant spot to sit and watch the boats rounding the Point.

Children's Beach

On the harbor, an easy walk from town. Ideal for small children: parks, playground, picnics, and bandstand. Park & Rec activities through July and August. Free concerts and movies through the summer.

Dionis:

Sheltered by dunes, calm waters for swimming; safer for children.

Francis Street Beach:

Five minute walk from Main Street. Calm harbor waters for swimming, No lifeguard. Turtle climb and kayak rentals.

Tom Nevers:

A great beach for quiet enjoyment, surf and fishing. Surf can be heavy. No services.

Surfside:

Located at the end of Surfside Road, a 2.2 mile ride on paved bike path or via NRTA shuttle bus. Good beach for families: picnics, kite flying, beach games, surfcasting and snack bar and facilities. Surf can be heavy.

Miacomet:

Located at the end of Micacomet Road. May be allowed to drive on beach. Also Miacomet pond is wonderful for children. Heavy surf.

Cisco:

Four mile bike ride to the end of Hummock Pond Road. Near Bartletts Farm. Surfers like this beach. Heavy surf.

Madaket:

As far west as you can go. Regular NRTA shuttle bus service or 5.5 mile bike ride on scenic paved bike path. Food available nearby. Famous for viewing sunsets. Heavy surf.

EASTERN SHORE 

Siasconset (Sconset):

Shuttle service, private bus service, or 6 mile ride on paved bike path. Food available in nearby village of 'Sconset. Surf can be heavy.
